Welcoming the NC State Spring 2022 Students!

Spring 2022 Orientation was an action-packed, exciting time! ​​After completing the Fall 2021 semester online at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University Performance Program (UPP) and NC State welcomed our Spring 2022 cohort to the United States!

After being picked up at the airport, students moved into NC State dormitories where they were able to settle in with their provided amenity packages and a couple of trips to both Asian and American supermarkets before getting started with our week of education, fun, exploration, and even some snow!

Some highlights of orientation included dinner and a movie (Spider-Man!) at the Alamo Drafthouse cinema, shopping at Crabtree Valley Mall, jumping at DEFY trampoline park, exploring Hillsborough Street in the snow, and spray-painting the Free Expression Tunnel.

We are looking forward to a wonderful spring semester with all of our UPP students!
