UNC Wilmington
💰 For the 2025-26 year, UNCW is offering 600+ donor-funded scholarships, with 280 new scholarships added since last year. These are applicable to many international students.
UMass Dartmouth
🎓 Launched a Student Retention Grant program offering up to $2,500 per student. This is part of a $1.5 million initiative to improve advising and student success. The investment also includes new advising software and degree planning tools, supporting both domestic and international students.
Major New Investments in SUNY Schools
🧪 The SUNY Chancellor’s Summer Research Fund placed over 200 students in paid internships with faculty. These positions are highly sought after for the work experience they provide students, elevating their resume for transfer or employment.
💰 $114 million in new funding has been announced across SUNY campuses, enhancing labs, advising services, and academic support at colleges like Morrisville.
International Recognition
🎯 Four U Mass Dartmouth student teams placed in the Top 15 at the 2025 DECA International Conference in San Francisco—a strong sign of real-world, globally competitive learning.
🏆 Elon University honored Nhat “Ivan” Nguyen, an international student, with the International Student Award at its 2025 Global Education Awards. As a chemistry major he was recognized for his exceptional academic achievements and leadership.
