Winning Abroad | Alumni Highlights & Success Tips

Leo Li, UPP@NCSU graduate from 2018, while enrolled at NC State’s MADTech program created a lifelike AI avatar of Leonardo DaVinci using MetaHuman and DaVinci’s writings.

By feeding DaVinci’s notebooks and writing into the model, Li made it possible for users to interact with him; sharing insights for feedback, ask questions, and simulate his personality.

He hopes to use this work to enter game design and develop immersive virtual experiences.

TEDxSUNY Oswego Launched by Former IPP Student, Eason Lee on April 11th

One of our very own alumni had a fantastic month launching the first TEDx at his university. Eason and his visionary team hosted this event around the theme of Progress which was aptly titled “Ideas Move People.”

Activities behind the event included:

  • A sleek Instagram page which connected 40 team members across 13 departments and 3 sponsors
  • A livestream for those who couldn’t attend
  • 6 speakers that were SUNY Oswego Professors and Alumni
  • Spotlights on crew and support
  • SOLD OUT ATTENDANCE
